Pro Bono

Christian, Dichter & Sluga, P.C. has a strong commitment to pro bono and public service.  Members of the firm dedicate portions of their practice to pro bono and public service, because we believe that it is a responsibility that comes with our professional success.  Participation in pro bono work allows the Firm to assist individuals and organizations in need, while also allowing our associates to gain valuable experience that is essential to their personal and professional development.

We encourage all of our professionals to participate in pro bono and public service activities including participation in the Community Legal Services Volunteer Lawyers Program.  For instance, CD&S partner Gena Sluga periodically volunteers to serve as a Guardian Ad Litem for abused and at-risk children through the Community Legal Services Volunteer Lawyer Program’s Children’s Law Project.

CD&S also allows our professionals the freedom to explore a variety of pro bono opportunities.  For example, CD&S associate Alison Christian recently represented a local nurse in a hearing before the Arizona State Board of Nursing.  The nurse, who has worked in the Phoenix medical community for over 10 years, was falsely accused of conduct that threatened her license, her reputation and her livelihood, but was unable to afford counsel to represent her interests.  CD&S provided her with free legal services, and was successful in clearing her on all of the false allegations.
